UK Travel Business in Meltdown

Thinking of going abroad?

Thinking of paying for travel and accommodation BEFORE you get there?

Well don’t. The travel companies are on their knees. They will take your deposits and your cash and you will think ABTA will bail you out. But of course they cannot do so if they themselves are bust.

Whatever you do don’t pay up front. Travel abroad by car, book your hotel when you get there. It’s much cheaper that way as well of course. Pay with a credit card. It does give some protection even if the card issuer is nearly bust.

Whatever they say, the government say or your friends say don’t risk it. Either go on holiday in the UK or drive or book the flights at the airport. Otherwise you’ll be waiting months for your money and have no holiday.

T.H.E. Ranter spake thus, don’t ignore him.
